WSJ mentioned the website on an article The Return of the Ivy League look. out of curiosity, I went to the website to check it out.Honestly, the people who run the website are not that impressive. Not all of them get IVY degrees, not even New England liberal arts degrees. Ah, but it’s so common for outsiders to see the aurora of ivy league and always assume ivy leaguers do this, ivy leagures do that. Sometimes it just get too pretentious and I really want to laugh about it. (Wow, I’m such a mean person, but whatever~~)

I’m always amazed that how non ivy people want to dress like ivy leaguers while ivy leaguers don’t give it a damn shit.

Okay, here’s my list for clothes that will give you a “legitimate” IVY preppy look.

• Vineyard Vines (Oh, I love it! I love it!)
• JCrew (My old favorite, got tired of it).
• Ralph Lauren (Meh, I get their shirts all the time from outlets, I don’t really go to the real store.
• Rugby (my new favorite)
• Brooks Brothers
• Northface/Patagonia (well, I went to a ski school, not sure if it’s just region specific or it’s a national preppy brand)
• L.L.Bean (low end and for senior people, I suppose?)
• Burberry (a little too expensive for me)
• J Press (saw the store, never bought anything there)
• PINK (does it count?)
